"Smart, funny, energetic, with moments of sentiment and real-life drama.
Classic Canadian comedy." - Winchester Press
"It drops you to your knees with laughter with one hand,
then quietly breaks your heart with the other." -Stratford Beacon Herald
Lee and Owen Melville arrive at a lakeside cabin for a relaxing weekend of fishing and brotherly bonding. Before they can open their tackle boxes, their plans are not-so-rudely interrupted by the arrival of two attractive, but very different, sisters. Canadian playwright Norm Foster shows why he’s often compared to Neil Simon with this funny and tender play about four people cast adrift who help each other find their way.

Janelle Nadeau – Thompson Concert Series 2012
Pedal and Lever Harp / Voice
Harpist and vocalist Janelle Nadeau’s performances are a one-of-a-kind experience that showcase multiple harps and a range of musical genres that go from Celtic, to Spanish, original tunes, to popular songs and beyond. Her classical training, combined with her personal contemporary repertoire, provides a wholly refreshing approach to the harp.
Janelle has trained under the highly respected tutelage of Grammy-nominated performer and writer Deborah Henson-Conant; and harpists Richard Turner, Heidi Krutzen and Rita Costanzi. Janelle has performed and toured with multiple award winning groups, ensembles and orchestras which include Kanye West, Winter Harp, Trio Lotos, Celebrity Cruises, Home Routes and Manitoba Arts Network.
Janelle is a graduate from the University of British Columbia majoring in Harp Performance. In 2008, she was the first place winner, and in 2006, second place winner of the Winnipeg Women’s Musical Club competition. This bilingual harpist’s performances have been showcased on CBC as well as VIA TVA television. Janelle’s small town farming roots, coupled with her humorous and charismatic persona, guarantee an engaging performance that will capture the hearts of any audience.
Janelle’s musical training started with Richard Turner in Winnipeg and continued in Vancouver with Rita Costanzi and Heidi Krutzen. Since her graduation from the University of British, Janelle has been taking master classes and workshops with harpists and musicians of different styles of music including Latin, jazz, Celtic and folk. This has given her much motivation in her composing, playing and singing. Janelle has also been studying voice for over many years with such teachers as Phyllis Thompson, Joanne Mercier and Patricia Dahlquist.
Janelle is currently composing music for harp and voice, teaching harp and working on a solo album. One of Janelle’s passions is to play solo concerts showcasing different genres of harp music. She also plays for weddings, corporate functions and other gatherings in need of harp background music.
Janelle has been invited to perform at the World Harp Congress!
